Article Source: Idaho Department of Agriculture to hold two-day farm and ranch conference - Idaho Capital Sun

The Idaho State Department of Agriculture announced the dates for its two-day Idaho Farm and Ranch Conference in January.

The conference invites producers, agribusinesses, farm organizations and leaders to exchange expertise in Idaho agriculture. The conference will also address key issues impacting Idaho producers including managing finances, succession and stress on the farm.

When: Jan 4-5
Where: Boise Centre

“Family farms and ranches are truly the backbone of Idaho agriculture,” Idaho agriculture department director Chanel Tewalt said in a press release. “The ISDA Farm and Ranch Center aims to connect Idaho producers with the resources to be viable and resilient for generations to come. There are countless entities working on these same issues and we look forward to continued collaboration to elevate each other’s work.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from consultants and attend workshops focused on finances, mental health and planning for the future.

The event, “Rooted in Tradition, Growing for Tomorrow,” is free to register, and it will focus on the future challenges of Idaho’s agricultural industry.
